Mission & History

Citizens for Common Sense and Efficient Government is a Florida-based political action committee dedicated to protecting taxpayers and strengthening public trust by exposing fraud, waste, and abuse in government. Focused primarily on Southwest Florida, we work to bring awareness to how local and regional government decisions impact families, businesses, and communities. Through grassroots engagement, research, and targeted advocacy, we support policies and leaders who prioritize fiscal responsibility, transparency, and results over bureaucracy and special interests.
Our mission is inspired by the bold accountability efforts seen at the federal and state levels, including President Trump’s DOGE-style approach to cutting wasteful spending and restoring efficiency, as well as Florida’s FAFO mindset championed by Governor Ron DeSantis and CFO Jimmy Patronis’ successor, CFO Blaise Ingoglia, emphasizing consequences for mismanagement and corruption. We believe Florida should lead the nation in common-sense governance, where every dollar is respected and public officials are held to the highest standards. By raising funds and awareness, Citizens for Common Sense and Efficient Government empowers Southwest Floridians to demand smarter government, stronger oversight, and a future built on integrity and efficiency.
